January Free Week, Jan. 9-16, 2017

Free admission week at the National Steinbeck Center, January 9-16 for Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, and San Benito County residents.

Area residents are invited to explore the museum’s exhibit hall, which traces the life and works of John Steinbeck.  Tri-county residents can also visit the museum’s newly revamped bookstore, which features every Steinbeck title in print, rare editions of Steinbeck’s books, mugs, pens, as well as locally-made items. We also carry children’s toys, books, and best selling fiction and nonfiction.

Free week highlights include: 

Monday 9th/Wednesday 11th at 12:00 A.M., archive talks by NSC Archivist Lisa Josephs, who will discuss new donations to the collection
Tuesday 10th/Thursday 12th at 10:00 A.M., Director’s exhibit tour with Susan Shillinglaw, who will give guided tours of the exhibit hall
Wednesday at 1:30 P.M., Old Salinas walking tour with John Mahoney
Friday, Hijos del Sol children’s workshop.
