Kids Club

Children's Art Classes:

Starting September 23, 2010: Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. or Saturdays 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

On-going weekly painting classes for children and teens ages 5-15. Students will work with instructor Paula Vershay to learn the art of acrylic painting (younger students will work with tempra paints) to create original pieces of fine art. $20.00 per student, per class, supplies included. Unique class per week on either Thursday or Saturday.

Kids Club Makes a Splash

The Kids Club at the National Steinbeck Center continues to gain popularity by offering affordable, innovative and educational programs that really excite children.

Searching for an affordable, innovative education program that will excite your child about learning? Look no further than the National Steinbeck Center! Students will engage with great teaching artists who will introduce children 12 and under to art, culture and great literature. Students will:

  • Create original works of art
  • Meet and work with authors, illustrators, directors and musicians.
  • Regular participants will have opportunities to exhibit their own work, and perform for museum audiences.

Classes will be offered every Saturday morning from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Each class is only $5.00 per student, special discounts for Kids Club Members.

Kids Club Membership ($75.00 per year) is a great deal! Kids Club members will receive half-price on the first 20 classes, and will be given priority enrollment to ensure them access to the most popular classes. Check out the rest of the benefits for Kids Club Members.

Beach Party
The National Steinbeck Center is bringing the beach into the valley. Join us for a month long beach party with volleyball, sandcastles and sand art. Face painting for all attendees.

September
Fun with Animals
The National Steinbeck Center will host an array of fun, pet-friendly activities. There will be Art, Animals and lots of fun!

October
Fall Festival
The National Steinbeck Center will be celebrating October with all kinds of fall activities including a Halloween Costume Party!
