Throughout the year, the National Steinbeck Center hosts many member-exclusive receptions and events and offers special discounts to our public and educational programs such as tours of Ed Ricketts’ lab in Cannery Row, the Annual Steinbeck Festival in August, and private art openings and receptions with local and national authors who participate in our Authors Series.

Members enjoy special discounts on Kids Club classes. All members of the Kids Club or higher levels enjoy a 50% discount to our weekly Saturday Kids Club program. Recent classes have included:
“The African Experience” (African drumming and dancing)
“Experience the Gabilan Watershed” (“messy” science projects)
“Celebrate the Holidays” (holiday ornaments, gingerbread houses and letters to Santa)
“The Day of the Dead Experience” (paper flower and mask-making).
