Since its publication in January 1945, Cannery Row has been one of America’s favorite Steinbeck works. Being so beloved, the place it is set, Old Ocean View Boulevard, has become a tourist hotspot. Within the novel, Steinbeck blends fact and fiction about his time living in the area. In this exhibit, we celebrate the blend of fancy and whimsy overlaid on a real place, as well as the many interpretations and adaptations that have kept this story alive.
Open Wednesday through Sunday 10am to 5pm
