Scope and Contents
This collection of Steinbeck works started with an acquisition of first edition titles, purchased by the Salinas Public Library in the 1950s and expanded in 1964 with a donation by Jack Patton, managing editor of the Salinas Californian.
This collection contains first and subsequent editions of all of Steinbeck’s works, published as volumes and omnibuses.
Approximately 1,500 volumes in 132 linear feet.
