Don will be talking about the book he wrote together with Richard Astro, called “A Tidal Odyssey Ed Ricketts and the Making of Between Pacific Tides”. Additionally, he will talk about two Stanford Library online exhibits that he recently completed. Ed Ricketts’ groundbreaking marine ecology studies are showcased in the first exhibit. The second exhibit presents the biographical sketches of John Steinbeck’s ancestors, the Hamilton and Steinbeck families.
